Epic Fail on the Iso Burning DVD with Ubuntu. Really sucks hard and I neither can find a work around. I want windows back. Have to wait until it is released because ubuntu will not burn the Iso,... makes you wonder if Linux and windows have made an arrangement, (lol)

It was a software issue. I linked to the bug report in the post. And I'm not wiping anything. Ubuntu will still have it's uses so I set up a dual boot. I already have all the other software that I need. I have 2 other windows machines. I just wonder if all that software will work with windows 7. It seems Alcohol 120% doesn't. And what is this startup repair garbage in Windows 7 that does nothing?

So... just to clarify:
You upgraded and suddenly can't burn DVD's...

Instead of figuring out if it was a hardware issue, a bad upgrade, a bad kernel or just a bad boot... instead of going back down to the version that worked for you... you're wiping it all and going back to Windows.

Don't forget to grab and install all the OTHER software you'll need just to run it: office, image editor, chat programs, anti-virus, anti-spyware, registry cleaner, firewall... and god knows what else.

"Windows isn't an operating system, it's an employment plan - if they DID fix it, imagine how many people and software companies would be out of jobs"

I have a feeling you'll be complaining about having to wipe and reinstall Windows 7 in about *checks watch* 6 months to a year.
