Hayden announces his retirement from international cricket
Matthew Hayden has become the sixth member of the Australia team that thrashed England 5-0 in the 2007 Ashes to quit cricket. The opener scored 8,625 runs in 103 Tests at an average of 50.73 in a 17-year career and also helped Australia to win two World Cups. However, he averaged less than 20 during the recent 2-1 Test series defeat by South Africa
