Recession hits beer sales – but hard liquor is on the rise?

Beer sales are known for being recession-resistant, but that isn’t looking to be the case this time around. The London-based brewer behind the Miller brand recently reported that its shipments dropped unexpectedly in the third quarter. However, in some spots, sales of liquor with more than 21% alcohol is on the rise.

The Best Robots of 2008

An anonymous reader writes “Robot innovation continued its relentless advances during 2008. SingularityHub has a showcase of the best robot videos of the past year. Man exchanges 14 year old daughter for 100 cases of BEER!
