I’ve dug through countless services to find some interesting, loopy, and just plain cool tools that allow you to do more than talk to friends. From receiving tweets when your clothes are clean to tracking packages, Twitter is a great place to solve many of the day’s tasks.

At noon EST, Barack H. Obama became the 44th president of the United States of America. Watch as the (Twitter) world watched. Below are the tweets worldwide that included inauguration with a “positive attitude.”

The microblogging service runs the risk of becoming too prevalent without a clear path to revenue. There is a risk in becoming ubiquitous before you make money.

According to Hitwise, last week visits to Twitter surpassed visits to Digg for the first time. This data is of last week, when visits to Twitter surged following the much-Tweeted emergency landing of a plane on the Hudson.

Today, along with the rollout of a new Whitehouse.gov, the account is now featuring updates from Obama’s new media team and a new avatar.
